Motion sickness affects many people when they ride in cars and on boats but perhaps the most inconvenient place to experience it is on a plane. Referred to as airsickness, it can be terribly inconvenient to be trapped on an airplane unable to get up from your seat when you are feeling nauseous.
Airsickness is nothing to be embarrassed about, in fact almost 29% of all pilots even experience it! This is a normal body response to an unusual stimulus. Your eyes are seeing that you are sitting in one place but your ears or vestibular organs can feel that you are moving up and down. British Airways is of course the national airline of the United Kingdom. It is a massive airline and flies both nationally and internationally to many hundreds of destinations. The main headquarters of the airline is Heathrow Airport in London.
British Airways operated for many years in a protected position as certain routes were only offered to them and they were (and to some extent still are) given preferential placement at most of the major UK airports like Heathrow and Gatwick. Unfortunately this protection did not last, and like many state-owned airlines, BA has had to re-invent the business in some respects in order to survive the increase in competition.
